Stripe Tour Paris 2026 is taking place today, June 16, 2026, at the Palais Brongniart.

This year’s conference is a major milestone, marking 10 years of Stripe in France. The company revealed that it now supports nearly 800,000 French businesses and solopreneurs—including half of the CAC 40 and two-thirds of the country's tech unicorns (like Mistral and Hugging Face).

The core focus of today's event centers heavily on preparing businesses for the shift toward AI-driven commerce and global scaling.
Key Announcements & Takeaways

The Agentic Commerce Suite: Stripe introduced tools allowing French businesses to make their products directly discoverable and purchasable by autonomous AI agents later this year.

AI-Native Billing and Security: To support Europe's growing AI hub, Stripe integrated Metronome into Stripe Billing to let companies meter token consumption and charge customers for exact usage in real-time. Additionally, Stripe Radar has been updated to defend against free-trial fraud and token theft.

Stripe Managed Payments: Now generally available in France, this feature allows local businesses to expand into 195 international markets. Stripe acts as the merchant of record, handling local compliance, infrastructure, and complex cross-border taxes so companies don't have to establish local entities.

Commerce Modernization: A big theme among attending partners (like Insight and 202 ecommerce) is migrating legacy retail systems to unified, next-gen financial infrastructure to cut down on cart abandonment and optimize global checkouts.

"AI is rewriting how products are priced, discovered, and purchased all at once. Every business, from frontier AI labs to century-old brands, faces the same question: do you have the infrastructure to compete in what comes next?"
    — Laurent Curny, Stripe France Country Lead

As payments fragment across rails, wallets, and PSPs, teams have data but not answers. When approvals drop, revenue leaks in real time.

In this session, Yamin Lahmeur shows why payments must be AI-native—not AI-on-top. Imagine a system that reads live performance signals across providers, methods, and geos, pinpoints what changed and why, recommends the next best action—reroute, retry, step-up, recover—and learns from every outcome.

Learn how to turn payments ops from dashboards and ticket queues into autonomous optimization.
